The NE2101 is a high-frequency synchronous step-down DC/DC converter designed for battery-powered and space sensitive applications. The required inductor and the converter are integrated into a miniature package of 2.5mm X 2.0mm X 1.0mm (W x L x H, typical values) to enable complete sub-1mm component profile solution. The NE2101 operates at 6MHz and supports up to 500mA load current with low ripple and fast transient response. With a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, NE2101 supports applications with Li-Ion batteries with extended voltage range. Different fixed output voltages can be factory-selected based on customer's requests. The NE2101 enters the power-saving PFM mode at light load currents to maintain high efficiency over the entire load current range. For noise-sensitive applications, NE2101 can be forced into fixed frequency PWM mode based on customer's requests before delivery.
